With the school holidays well underway the snow cover at Lake Mountain remains excellent for the toboggan crowd. Hats off to young Curtis McConchie. The 10 year old did us proud by beating all in the days toboggan races. His secret? A combination of laws of Physics and one of our carve toboggans. Well done dude. Now it’s the skiers time. Good cover on upper trails and a few getting out. Lianne caught me trying to sneak out of the shop. Damn it.
Thanks Greg. I had a great day in the snow with my family. The secret to my success was a combination of the excellently maintained equitment combined with my raw desire to win! My uncle, Steve, is reportedly a great skier so maybe it is in the blood. See you next time.

I wanted to leave a thank you message to the gang at cross country ski hire. We came up on the 30th of June 2010. We stopped to hire the equipment from this store. The staff were absolutely amazing. You see we have to very LIVELY children. The staff were absolutely patient. I especially want to thank Greg for assisting me with the nhiring of chains. I haven’t come across such honesty. Not only did he come out to my car to help me fit the chains I had , (didn’t hire them from him!)he offered some excellent advise. In the end I gave up on MY chains and decided to grab some from Greg. His chains are much easier to install. Greg didn’t charge me for these chains. What a fantastic man! I highly recommend people stop at the store and hire the necessary equipment from them. It made our day! Thank you team at cross country ski hire!
